7-Eleven’s former national franchising manager Tanya Robertson has joined consultancy group BDC Partners in a part-time capacity as CEO of franchise development.
BDC Partners was formed by Jon Sully, Bruce McFarlane and David Lindsay mid-2020 as a one-stop-shop with the capability to take a retail or franchise business from concept to exit.
Jon Sully said “When we first started BDC Partners, it was imperative that we built our team with highly experienced, hands-on people that fit in with our culture and our passion for franchising. Tanya ticks every single box, and then some.”
Robertson has spent five years at 7-Eleven, more than three as national franchising manager, and a previous spell as regional manager. She also headed up operations at Sigma Healthcare and was the national franchise development manager at Brazilian Butterfly.
In her new role Robertson will be leading a franchisor mentoring program.
Commenting on the move to BDC Partners, Robertson told Inside Franchise Business Executive “I joined the BDC collective to implement and deliver our new Franchisor Mentoring Program. Our small but expert team believe in a fully integrated solution for franchisors, delivering advice and information to improve the health of the entire franchise network and drive growth for the business. ”
The program centres on five core pillars: improve people and performance, grow revenue, improve profitability, improve asset performance, and utilise business intelligence.
“With these pillars in action, the outcome of this program is that franchisors have clearly articulated and working processes to deliver on KPIs. Having established and embedded best-practice operations will drive customer-oriented and profitable performance in line with your culture and brand,” Robertson said.
Robertson has been a Franchise Council of Australia state chapter committee member for 13 years, and for the past three years board director and state president.
