Barbeques Galore has appointed Steven Evans to the role of chief financial officer.
Evans joines the big box retail franchise after a 30-year corporate finance career which began with PwC.
He has worked in retail, healthcare, and manufacturing, including CFO appointments at Inova Pharmaceuticals, Lonsec Holdings and GLG Lighting.
Angus McDonald, Barbeques Galore CEO, said Evans joins the retailer at a transformative period. The business is rolling out out a new store experience and adding three new stores this year. It is also undertaking range renewals, product launches, loyalty program expansion and further investment in systems and processes.
“Steven’s breadth of experience will be a great asset for our business given our diverse operating model across wholesale, retail, franchising and product development,” McDonald said.
