Queensland-based doughnut chain Brooklyn Donuts and Coffee Co. has reduced the cost of a cup of coffee by at least 30 per cent across all eight of its New South Wales and ACT stores.
The price drop in response to the rising cost of living, and despite increasing green bean prices, is designed to encourage customers familiar with the sweet treats to try the coffee order and attract new customers to the stores.
Brooklyn Donuts’s founder Adam Sharvell said “While many businesses are raising their prices, we believe now is the time to give back to our loyal guests. We are committed to keeping coffee affordable without compromising on quality.”
Sharvell said the company has worked closely with suppliers to secure sustainable pricing.
The newly-priced drinks will start at $3 rather than $4.60 for a small coffee for ACT and NSW customers. The chain has 11 stores in Queensland.
