Burger Urge has appointed former Betty’s Burgers boss Troy McDonagh as part of the brand’s advisory board.
Troy McDonagh left Betty’s Burgers in April this year after seven years leading the Retail Zoo-owned business.
McDonagh led the brand from a chain of just nine outlets to a footprint of more than 60 across Australia. He also held senior executive roles at Village Cinemas, Gloria Jean’s Coffees, Oporto, and Red Rooster.
McDonagh’s appointment marks a significant step for Burger Urge as the brand continues to expand its footprint across the country.
“This is an exciting time for Burger Urge,” McDonagh said. “We have an 18-year history, 31 venues across Australia and counting, and a brand people love.
“One thing I particularly like about Burger Urge is its people-focus. Being an almost exclusively franchise-led model, the franchise partners are the heartbeat of the business—and they’re deeply involved in their local communities.
“Burger Urge puts people first, doesn’t compromise on quality, and it’s a great time to be part of this journey,” he said.
