Choice Hotels Asia-Pac is running its feel-good fundraising campaign, ‘Check-in for Charity’ from 11 to 17 August 2025.

During the fundraising week, hotels across the network of more than 170 properties across Australia and New Zealand will donate $2 from every stay to their charity partner, the Alannah & Madeline Foundation. These funds support the Foundation’s mission to keep children and young people free from violence and trauma wherever they live, learn and play.

Choice Hotels’ members can donate Choice Privileges points to support the cause.

Choice Hotels Asia-Pac CEO Trent Fraser said “We’re proud of the commitment our franchisees show to being community-minded and fostering a fulfilled and engaged workforce.

“Many of our hotels, whether in metropolitan, suburban or regional areas, are family-owned and operated, and with so many families choosing to stay with us, supporting a cause that champions children’s safety and wellbeing is something we care deeply about,” Fraser said.

Last year Choice Hotels Asia-Pac raised more than $50,000 through its Check-in for Charity initiative in Australia, in addition to funds in New Zealand for Cystic Fibrosis NZ.

The hotel group also makes a corporate contribution to support franchisee fundraising.

Choice Hotels team members also help pack Buddy Bags for the Foundation – backpacks filled with essential items for vulnerable children in crisis across Australia.

“It’s initiatives like these that make a real difference in the community, and we’re committed to supporting this vital work,” Fraser said.
