The Franchise Council of Australia has opened nominations for its inaugural industry-wide awards event which aims to attract non-members as well as FCA loyalists.

The 23 categories in the Franchise Industry Awards will recognise outstanding achievements across the sector, from franchisors and franchisees to suppliers and service providers.

Nominations are open to all individuals and businesses in the Australian franchising community, and the nomination deadline is 5pm AEDT Friday 28 March.

FCA CEO Jay Westbury, who brought the industry-wide awards concept from the travel sector, said the Franchise Industry Awards (FIA) will be a “defining moment for our sector”.

“We encourage all businesses and individuals in franchising to take part. Whether you’re a seasoned franchisor, an innovative franchisee, or a supplier making a difference, the FIAs are your chance to be recognised among the best in the industry,” Westbury said.

The black tie event will take place on Wednesday, 25 June 2025, at the Fullerton Hotel Grand Ballroom in Sydney.
