Kwik Kopy Australia has sold a majority share to Fortidia, the parent company of Mail Boxes Etc (MBE), Pack & Send, and World Options. Under the new structure, Kwik Kopy CEO Sonia Shwabsky takes on joint leadership of the Kwik Kopy and Pack & Send ANZ businesses.

Shwabsky said, “I am incredibly excited about the opportunities ahead. With Fortidia as the global enabler of our franchise system, entrepreneurs can tap into globally leading expertise.”

The restructure means the departure of Pack & Send’s country manager, Nicholas Woodward.

A communication from Fortidia to the Pack & Send team members outlined the changes and expressed “heartfelt gratitude” to Woodward for his 20 years of “passion, energy, and commitment” and his “invaluable” contributions.

Another exit from Pack & Send is Raj Chandiok, the VP sales and operations who leaves the business after four years.

Jake Shaw takes up a senior VP sales role for all Fortidia brands in Australia and New Zealand. Shaw spent two years at Havaianas, as commercial manager and then director. Prior to this he was GM and then COO for Zambrero from August 2020 to May 2023.

Fortidia strengthens global footprint with Kwik Kopy acquisition

The sale marks a significant shift for the Kwik Kopy brand, which the Penfold family has owned since founding the business in 1982.

The family will retain a minority stake in Kwik Kopy Australia and remain actively involved.

Paolo Fiorelli, chair and CEO of Fortidia said, “We are delighted to welcome Kwik Kopy Australia to the Fortidia Group. Together, we will strengthen Kwik Kopy’s market position, accelerate growth, deliver innovative solutions and create greater customer value.”

In a statement, Fortidia said the acquisition underscores the group’s long-term commitment to boosting its global footprint and fostering sustainable growth.

While Fortidia directly operates Pack & Send, it operates the Mail Boxes Etc. and World Options brands through master licensees.
