Global real estate franchise network Harcourts International has announced a new chief operating officer.
Andrew Friebe will take up his position in Brisbane in January 2021, replacing former COO Rob Forde, who recently joined Harcourts Coastal on the Gold Coast, Australia.
As a member of the global executive leadership team, overseeing over 900 franchise offices in nine countries, Friebe will lead the strategy for operational execution.
Friebe brings a wealth of experience with over 15 years of real estate experience including three years as the State CEO for Harcourts in South Australia and two years spent on the corporate team.
Most recently, Friebe was regional MD for South Australia/Western Australia for another national real estate brand.
Harcourts International CEO, Steve Caradoc-Davies, said “It gives me great pleasure to bring Andrew back to the corporate leadership team at Harcourts. His in-depth knowledge and understanding of real estate, both within a real estate business and in the corporate environment, will be invaluable in his new role as COO for Harcourts International. As someone who shares our values and culture, I am confident that Andrew will easily integrate with the team and make a significant impact.”
Friebe’s role will be to help position the brand as the real estate franchisor of choice in a competitive market.
Harcourts has been in the real estate business since 1888. Eighteen months ago the business boosted its US profile with the opening of a flagship office in Beverly Hills.
