Hire A Hubby CEO Brendan Green has been elected to the chairman’s role at the Franchise Council of Australia.

Green replaces outgoing chair Warren Ballantyne, founder of Gutter-Vac.

Ballantyne has held the position since 2018 and will continue his involvement with the Franchise Council as a board director.

Green told Inside Franchise Business Executive “The FCA is working hard to support our members through the immediate challenges of Covid-19 with information, resources and advocacy. More broadly, the FCA continues to focus on compliance, profitability and sustainability as priorities for the sector, and education and member support is a key part of this.

“I’m looking forward to leading the FCA board through this time ahead.”

In an announcement to members, FCA CEO Mary Aldred said “Brendan has been strongly committed and involved in the FCA, stepping up to the task of supporting franchisors and franchisees to build a strong and successful sector”.

Green has been an FCA board director for the past two years, and is a graduate of the internationally recognised Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) program. He is also an active member of the FCA’s Sydney Chief Executive Syndicate.

In 2019 he was named in the top five of the Top 30 Franchise Executives report, which focuses on franchisor’s franchisee-focused achievements throughout the year. Talking in a podcast with Inside Franchise Business Executive, Green revealed the changes in the business that positively impacted Hire A Hubby franchisees.

In addition to heading up Hire A Hubby since 1996, Green founded and leads the Franchise Cloud Solutions business, an end-to-end IT management system.
