Hog’s Breath Cafe boss exits after eight months in the role

After just eight months in the leadership role, Hog’s Breath Cafe CEO Tom Elliott has announced his exit from the business.

On LinkedIn Elliott said his departure is was “mutually agreed”.

“I’m proud of the work delivered during my time with the business,” he wrote. “Together with the board, leadership team and franchise partners, we designed and mobilised a strategic turnaround plan that has laid strong foundations for sustained future growth. This included a renewed focus on brand relevance, technology enablement and product innovation, all grounded in better meeting evolving guest needs and expectations.”

Elliott joined the casual dining brand with bold ambitions to elevate customer experience, accelerate digital capability, and deliver value-driven marketing.

“It’s pleasing to see these initiatives establishing momentum and positioning the brand for its next chapter,” Elliott wrote.

He took over the reins from Steven Spurgin, who led the Hog’s Breath business for five years.

Elliott’s CEO appointment followed 14 years with Retail Food Group where he held marketing, branding and management roles across Brumby’s and Donut King, and for three years headed up RFG corporate store operations.
