The National Franchise Convention is just weeks away and it's a chance for franchisors to share ideas, hear about best practice and innovation, and pick up problem-solving tips.
The largest get together for the franchise community, the Franchise Council of Australia’s annual convention takes place in Canberra this year, and brings together local and international speakers.
Headline speakers include the founder of Zambrero, Dr Sam Prince, and the CEO of Fastsigns International (Signwave), Catherine Monson.
High profile keynote speakers include Megan Quinn, co-founder of fashion digital store Net-A-Porter, and David Morrison AO, former chief of the Australian Army.
Over the three day event, which begins with a Legal Symposium, delegates will get the chance to hear from inspirational speakers and learn about relevant industry issues through workshops and seminars including:
- How to survive and thrive in your first five years as a franchisor
- What to consider when buying with or merging with another brand
- How to avoid becoming the next wage underpayment news headline
The latest franchising issues and trends in Australia and the US will be unveiled in a session on the Monday.
FranchiseBusiness editor Sarah Stowe will be one of the panellists on a session considering ‘Key differences between recruiting franchisees for greenfield vs resale locations’.
FranchiseBusiness, which includes www.franchisebusiness.com.au (the official online directory of the FCA), will be participating in the adjoining expo.
