JAX Tyres & Auto is once again fundraising for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to help the 21,000 Aussies diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Diagnoses for the disease have increased 24 per cent over the last decade.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October the auto and tyre retailer is encouraging Australians to buy pink tyre valve caps. All donations will go directly to NBCF, with contributions starting at just $10.

JAX franchisees have backed the breast cancer research fundraising initiative which takes place twice a year, in May and October.

Renae McPhee from Caloundra donated 400 pink caps to transport firm LogicHaul, to be fitted on their trucks across Australia.

Rockhampton franchisee Brent Flanagan organised a store event that raised $750 for NBCF. Flanagan then matched the sum, to donate $1,500 to breast cancer research.

April Harwood is chief franchising operations officer of JAX Tyres & Auto. “Our stores are all very passionate about our partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the ‘Put a Cap on Breast Cancer’ initiative is a testament to this,” Harwood said.
