Jetts Fitness has announced a new strategic partnership with Black Dog Institute.
Throughout October, Jetts Fitness clubs across Australia will support Black Dog Institute’s One Foot Forward campaign encouraging more Aussies to get moving for better mental health. The 24/7 gym chain will also donate $5 from every new membership to fund vital mental health research.
Jetts will maintain an ongoing national fundraising page and actively support Black Dog Institute’s local and national campaigns throughout the year.
Jetts will extend its support beyond this month’s activities, hosting a national fundraising page and actively supporting Black Dog Institute’s local and national campaigns throughout the year.
Elaine Jobson, managing director of Jetts Fitness, said the brand and its franchisees were keen to make a real impact.
“Our mission has always been to make fitness accessible and positive for everyone, and that includes looking after both physical and mental health,” Jobson said.
Colin Moore, head of partnerships at Black Dog Institute, welcomed the partnership.
“Jetts’ commitment, including $5 from every new membership this October and active promotion of our One Foot Forward campaign, demonstrates a genuine dedication to driving better mental health across Australia,” he said.
“Suicide remains one of the most urgent public health challenges of our time. Each year, too many lives are lost, and behind every statistic are families, friends, and communities forever changed — it is critical we provide support and break down stigma,” Moore said.
The partnership will also explore opportunities to research how regular exercise can boost mental wellbeing.
