LJ Hooker Group has revealed its new-look growth strategy. It has a plan to be the most profitable at-scale real estate agency across Australia and New Zealand.
The strategy, LJH100, takes the heritage firm to its centenary in 2028.
LJ Hooker Group CEO Christine Mikhael told Real Estate Business website REB, the business is significantly different from how it was two years ago.
A profitable business will reinvest into areas such as people, innovation, growth, performance and training, she said.
“At-scale means we can negotiate valuable enterprise agreements, create greater internal referral opportunities for our offices and their teams, and impact and influence industry decisions to take a true leadership position,” she told REB.
LJ Hooker’s new strategy
There are five advantages which form the foundation of the strategy: people, operational, experiential, scale and reputational advantages.
These will deliver a high-performance, high trust culture of respected brands which uses best practice systems and technology to create a premium connection with customers. This in turn leads to strategic expansion across Australia and New Zealand.
Advantages backed by values
There are also five values forming the acronym CARE:
- commitment to teamwork and collaboration
- ambition
- responsibility
- excellence
““We have the full weight and support of our Board of Directors and the best team in corporate and across our network to now deliver our strategy,” Mikhael said.
Mikhael has been in the role since August 2022 after leading the firm for six months as acting CEO.
At the time of her appointment she said there will be a laser focus on growth through franchising.
The LJ Hooker group comprises the LJ Hooker, Atlas by LJ Hooker and Harveys brands. In December last year the group signed its first franchise agreement for its boutique Atlas brand. The Brisbane Inner South office has led the charge into franchising.
