McGrath Estate Agents has restructured its franchise operation across Queensland’s Palm Beach region and New South Wales’ Tweed Coast.
McGrath’s head of franchise Chris Mourd said it made sense for the two coastal regions to join forces.
“This regional market is one of the most sought-after of coastal areas following a post-Covid shift benefitting from interstate migration. These agent teams are geographically and culturally aligned; and I’m confident they will thrive together for the benefit of both vendors and buyers,” he said.
The newly merged businesses with a staff of 39 includes four of McGrath’s Top 10 Queensland/Tweed performers. The team will continue to work with local clients and with buyers migrating from Sydney and Melbourne.
One partner, Josh Willatt, said the merge had the strategic aim of achieving a greater market share.
“The goals are to drive growth within our teams and to increase our reach in what we consider very important and aspirational lifestyle areas of the Coast.”
Prices in the region have continued in an upward trend over the past few years.
