The Ninja Parc franchise has launched its own championship events similar to the Ninja Warrior TV show.

Ninja Parc founder John Pirlo said “We’ve been wanting to run these events for some time but Covid created challenges, so it was very exciting to finally see the championships come to life.

“Each year, the Championships will move around Australia to a different Ninja Parc host location with competitors travelling from across the country to take part.”

The Ninja Parc obstacle course at Newcastle hosted the inaugural event which saw more than 150 competitors participate.

Other locations are in Western Sydney, Melbourne and Townsville.

Contestants across three age divisions also got to compete against real Ninja Warriors. These include Newcastle local The ‘Saxy Ninja’ Jason Mitchell and season 6 grand finalist Saxon Johnstone.

The Ninja Parc course features many of the obstacles from the TV show including rope climbs, bouldering challenges, vertical and horizontal doors and the Warped Wall.

Ninja Parc is part of the Belgavia Health & Leisure Group. Earlier this year the business unveiled its compact franchise model.
