Forget the quiet hush of an evening art class. Paint Juicy transforms previous paint and sip models with pink lighting, smoke machines, music and disco balls – not to mention nude male models, drag queen shows and comedy.
“We started Paint Juicy as a side-hustle during the pandemic, partly because we wanted to boost our own spirits and create a fun escape from the challenges of everyday life,” said founder and franchisor Trenton Mabbott. “We had no idea there were so many people out there who felt the same, and loved our unique take on the general paint and sip model.”
Mabbott opened the first entertainment studio in Burleigh Heads in September last year. Since then, he has added a new studio location in Coomera, hosted The Biggest Paint and Sip in Australia and continued to collaborate with local businesses across the Gold Coast and Brisbane to create monster pop-up sessions. His plans for the next location, in Milton, Brisbane, include food and beverage options.
Paint Juicy Operations Manager, Simone McKinnon, said the brand is all about creating a fun environment that makes everyone feel welcome. “Customer service is always at the core of what we do. We want them to feel at home and free to express themselves creatively.”
She adds that studio’s visuals and party atmosphere are the perfect combination for venue hire. “Franchisees have the opportunity to tap into private events such as hen parties, corporate events and birthdays.”
A flexible franchise option
Paint Juicy offers a range of business options.
“You could be an existing business owner looking to bring more people into your bar, restaurant or café,” said Kate Saw, a Senior Consultant with DC Strategy, who helped Paint Juicy to develop the franchise model. “You could be looking for your own side hustle via a mobile paint and sip service, or interested in opening your very own studio as a new Business Owner. Whichever works for you, Paint Juicy is a low cost to entry franchise that offers business and marketing support from a strong franchising team.”
