Pet store chain and veterinary group Greencross, which includes the Petbarn mobile dogwash franchise in its portfolio, is replacing its CEO.

According to the AFR, Greencross CFO Lucas Barry succeeds outgoing George Wahby, who will remain on the board.

Greencross is backed by private equity firm TPG, which attempted to sell the pet group last year. Now the AFR reports Greencross chair Joel Thickins is planning an IPO as early as 2025.

The Greencross portfolio includes 160 vet clinics, 24 animal hospitals, and 260 Petbarn and City Farmer pet shops.

The Franchise Disclosure Register shows the Petbarn dog wash business has 14 franchisees operating 16 franchises across Queensland and Western Australia.
