Plus Fitness, part of the ASX-listed Viva Leisure Group, has opened its 200th Australian club. The 24/7 chain unveiled the landmark club in Mambourin, Victoria.

Gordon Martin, director of Plus Fitness, said “Reaching our 200th club in Australia is a testament to the commitment of our people and franchisees, investment in smart technology and staying aligned to our strategic vision.

“We are member obsessed and have implemented platforms and products to remove friction for members and help franchisees run stronger profitable businesses enabling them to focus on delivering amazing in-club experiences,” Martin said.

Six more clubs are set to open soon in Clyde and Footscray in Victoria and Belrose, Bowral, Oran Park and Nowra in New South Wales.

Plus Fitness aims to reach 300 clubs and 300,000 members over the next five years, focused on growth across Queensland and Victoria.

It has sold a further 50 territories in Australia and is expanding its footprint across New Zealand and India. The brand’s international presence will extend to the UK, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Technology is helping drive growth

The business is enhancing the member journey and helping to drive franchise performance with technology releases, including in-house apps for casual passes and expanded membership types. The Digital HUB, a custom-built platform that connects access control, CRM and billing, gives franchisees real-time membership insights. Its Member ID App for keyless club access and its Member Portal deliver convenience while lowering franchisee costs.

“It’s an exciting time for Plus Fitness and our franchisees. While we recognise technology enhances the member and franchisee experience, human connection has been instrumental in our continued growth and remains a core part of who we are,” Martin said.

“When you pair great tools with great teams, you create consistently brilliant experiences. That’s how we’ll take Plus Fitness from 200 to 300 clubs – by staying accessible, innovative and relentlessly member-focused.”
