Poolwerx is on the hunt for a top franchise development executive.
Chief operating officer Nic Brill told Inside Franchise Business Executive the established pool business is looking to shape a strong management team focused on expansion.
“This newly developed role will take a strategic, client first approach to enable us to better support our franchise partners and continue our ambitious growth plans for the business in Australia and New Zealand.
“The chief of franchise development will be primarily responsible for network development, retail development and leasing. We are looking forward to welcoming a team member onboard who encapsulates our key values including ‘dare to succeed’ and ‘find the better way’ – and puts them into practice every day,” he said.
Brill said the past 12 months have been Poolwerx’ “most successful year to date”.
“With turnover 10 per cent above forecast and a double digit percentage sales uplift year on year, we’re continuing to grow and invest in reshaping our senior leadership team to meet our ongoing expansion,” he said.
In July Kelly Micallef was appointed chief people, performance and culture officer and Grant Nolan took up the chief commercial officer position, both newly created roles within the business.
These appointments followed on from the early 2021 recruitment of two brand new senior executives to head up technology and innovation.
In its 29 years Poolwerx has grown to a network of nearly 600 service vehicles and 160 stores across Australia, New Zealand and the US.
In November 2020 the business reported it has opened 11 stores in as many months, a reflection of the market interest and sales growth even through the pandemic.
