Poolwerx is spearheading a recruitment drive for more than 100 roles as the brand celebrates its most successful year of trading. Turnover was 10 per cent above forecast and a double digit percentage sales uplift year on year.

Poolwerx’ chief operating officer, Nic Brill, said “We’re recruiting women and men from around the country for a range of roles from part-time and casual roles to full-time opportunities.”

The job vacancies are for regional and metro locations with roles available for store managers, retail staff, pool technicians and administrative staff and will help resource the network’s growing footprint.

Poolwerx has been thriving and despite lockdowns the pool care business has opened four retail stores in the last six months. The plan for the next six months is to exceed that growth and open a further six stores.

Helping deliver record sales for franchisees, home improvements have been a popular spend throughout lockdown.

Australians have invested a record billion dollars a month on renovations, according to a May 2021 article in the Sydney Morning Herald, which revealed keen home improvers in wealthy suburbs are adding wellness centres to their luxury homes.

According to the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia (SPASA) the demand for new pools has jumped 30 per cent year on year. This brings with it increased demand for maintenance services and products.

Poolwerx six months ago introduced a new range of exclusive pool equipment and products developed in collaboration with pool cleaning brand Maytronics, including a high tech Aquawize wifi-enabled robotic cleaner controlled at the click of a button through a mobile app.
