Red Rooster fans in Victoria can now add alcohol to their meals as part of a network-first delivery trial.
The iconic Australian brand launched the updated delivery offering this week, just in time for Summer with the trial to run until the end of 2018 in selected Victorian outlets.
The latest menu innovation is available with delivery from stores at Ascot Vale, Doncaster, Hampton, Karingal, North Frankston and Sunbury and offers customers a selection of beer, wine and pre-mixed spirits to complement their meal.
Patrons can choose from Carlton Draught and James Squire beers and ciders, Bundaberg, Woodstock and UDL pre-mixed spirts and wines from Brown Brothers, Chandon and Rosemount Diamond Label.
Nick Keenan, Red Rooster CEO said the latest move was a reflection of the brand’s commitment to innovation and driving consumer satisfaction.
“Red Rooster is looking to be relevant and contemporary for its customers- we are looking to diversify our business offering and are therefore conducting this trial through selected stores in Victoria only,” Keenan said.
“We chose Victoria because it’s a dynamic and forward -thinking foodie state and we think it is the perfect place for this trial to happen.”
The alcohol delivery trial can be accessed through all of Red Rooster’s delivery channels, including UberEats, Deliveroo, Menulog and through the brand’s in-house delivery service, a process which Keenan admits has required extensive planning.
“This trial is in a strictly controlled environment, in fact, there are very strict guidelines for the whole process. Every crew member has undertaken RSA training, there are strict limits on alcohol that can be ordered and alcohol can only be ordered with food and through delivery not in restaurant. You will not be able to order only alcohol through our channels,” Keenan said.
Pending a successful trial, Keenan said the service will be rolled-out nationwide in 2019.
“At this stage it’s too early to know exactly what kind of rollout it will be. But it will be subject to strict conditions and what is best for the customers”.
