Roll’d Vietnamese pantry items and condiments have been launched as take-home purchases from the fast food outlets and Coles supermarkets.
A June rollout saw key items on the shelves in the World Food Asian aisles in Coles, continuing the link with the national supermarket. Earlier this year Roll’d opened its 100th store and its first Coles outlet at the Moonee Ponds supermarket, offering shoppers grab n’go meals and drinks.
Now rice paper, rice vermicelli noodles and a selection of Vietnamese sauces are available for customers to take home.
Boa Hoang, Roll’d founder and CEO, said “We’re excited to be sharing our authentic Vietnamese eats and recipes to the wider community, going into homes, lunchboxes and onto dinner tables with fresh family eats options.”
Roll’d added a QR code on each product to direct customers to the Roll’d website to explore more recipe ideas and watch tutorials and each product is labelled with a caricature illustrated by Vietnamese-Australia artist Matt Huynh and inspired by Roll’d family members.
This DIY option is the latest innovation from the nine-year-old business that has grown from a single Melbourne eatery to more than 100 outlets across the country.
Late last year Bao Hoang told Inside Franchise Business Executive innovations are not just good for the network of franchisees, they actually help drive franchise recruitment.
“People see us innovate and drive the business, and they want to join us,” he said.
