Hospitality chain Schnitz has revealed who will replace Brenton Howie in the CEO role; Kerri Wane, CEO of San Churro, takes up the leadership position.
Howie left the Schnitz business on 10 March to pursue a role in the manufacturing industry after five years with the schnitzel chain.
Schnitz acting CEO and co-founder, Tom Dyduk, said Wane’s strategic vision, deep industry expertise, and passion for providing franchisees and customers with exceptional experiences make her the perfect fit for the brand.
Wane share the news on LinkedIn.
“I am so grateful for this opportunity and my thanks goes out to the Dyduk family and the board for their trust and confidence,” she said.
“I have no doubt that we will make a huge difference together and have some fun along the way as we create an exciting future for the brand into the future!”
Wane joined San Churro in September 2021 after nine months heading up Gelatissimo’s international business. Prior to this she spent almost two years at the Mad Mex chain, as interim COO and GM international.
Her franchise career includes seven years with Domino’s in Australia and India/South East Asia across training, HR, learning and development and operations.
In 2024 Wane was named Franchise Woman of the Year in the Franchise Council of Australia awards and was ranked second in the Top 30 Franchise Executives report.
