Jamie Buttigieg, CEO of Skill Samurai Australia/New Zealand, has stepped into a new role at Combined Franchise Services.

Buttigieg, who was recently ranked number one in the Top 30 Franchise Executives 2025 list, brought the Canadian-based education business Skill Samurai to Australia in November 2020. He scaled the after-school coding, maths and STEM business to 22 franchises.

Buttigieg joins Combined Franchise Services with a dual task in the real estate sector. He will lead network support and strategic growth for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate nationally, and drive franchise profitability, support and recruitment for Century 21 in New South Wales.

Combined Franchise Services provides technology, training, marketing and operations services for the two real estate brands which are part of the Anywhere Brands franchise division of US-based company Anywhere, formerly Realogy.

In a LinkedIn post Buttigieg said “I believe franchising done well is still one of the greatest vehicles for career freedom and community impact.”

Skill Samurai will be led from Canada by founder Jeff Hughes and Prashant Dalal, who takes on the CEO role. Dalal is an investment consultant, franchise project manager and a master franchisor.
