Kid’s education business Snapology partners with The Little Gym International to open a joint venue in the US.

The new state-of-the-art centre in Texas aims to become a one-stop-shop, offering activities for young children through to pre-teens.

Snapology is focused on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). It provides a program that can be delivered to children at school – replacing a science class, at pre-school, as a vacation program or as special events held at an educational centre.

The US franchise was brought to Australia two years ago with master franchisee Usman Khan taking on brand expansion.

New site offers learning with play

The latest development, the 557,000+ sq m space in Texas, includes classrooms for kids to learn coding, robotics and animation. There are also 17 creative play stations featuring Lego bricks, Minecraft, and virtual reality. The Little Gym area provides parent-child classes and gymnastics.

Laura Coe, brand president and CEO of Snapology, said “Together, we’re taking children’s play and education where it has never gone before with a goal of helping today’s youth across all ages to learn, play and grow, all while building confidence, social skills and teamwork.”

Other brands which have co-branded outlets

Combining brands is a strategy deployed across a number of sectors, sometimes with both brands from one umbrella group. It’s a tactic used by Belgravia Health & Fitness which last year announced a number of co-branded sites. BK’s Gymnastics and Jump! Swim Schools joined forces in three corporate-owned locations operated by Belgravia Kids.

In the US Starbucks partnered with Amazon in late 2021 to introduce a new store concept. The New York City retail outlet combined Starbucks Pickup and Amazon Go.

Unleashed Brands is the parent company of both Little Gym and Snapology. It’s portfolio also includes Premier Martial Arts, Class 101, XP League and Urban Air Adventure Parks. The company is backed by a management team with more than 150 years of combined consumer industry experience.
