A limited-edition Anzac biscuit has helped Subway raise $100,000 to support RSL Australia’s veteran services and programs.
RSL Australia national president Greg Melick said the $100,000 donation would help provide vital care and assistance to veterans and their families.
“The funds raised will assist immeasurably in supporting veteran programs right around Australia and we are extremely grateful,” Melick said.
“The Subway Anzac biscuit, baked from a traditional recipe dating back to World War One, was a great success and the RSL welcomes and greatly values the support of Subway. We look forward to a continuing association in the future,” he said.
Shane Bracken, Subway managing director for Australia and New Zealand, said local engagement with community was important.
“This year, we wanted to do something special to honour the brave men and women who have served our country and continue to inspire us with their courage and resilience. I am grateful to our guests for wholeheartedly embracing this purposeful partnership,” he said.
