Global brand Subway is turning 60 and the Australian business is offering one fan $25,000 in prize money in a competition to find its most passionate and creative customers.

The #Fanversary contest encourages customers to showcase their creativity in song, video, or photos, shared on social media.

Director of marketing for Subway Australia and New Zealand, Rodica Titeica, said this milestone is about celebrating legacy.

“We want to turn the spotlight on the legends who’ve loved us through every bite by celebrating the  passion and personality they bring to the iconic Subway Footlong sub.  Crowning our biggest fan and serving them with $25k in prize money to eat Subway for life feels  like the ultimate way to say a big footlong thank you,” she said.

The first Subway opened in Australia in 1988; there are now more than 12000 restaurants across the country.

The #Fanversary competition runs from 4 to 17 August ; the  winner will be announced on the brand’s global 60th birthday, 28 August 2025.
