Aussie homegrown tutoring business Success Tutoring is heading to Canada in 2026. Founder and global CEO Michael Black said the plan is to open 120 units within three years.
Success Tutoring has expanded to New Zealand, and launched into the US this year, with Black revealing plans for 80 units across Texas within five years.
The firm flagged expansion into the UK, Singapore and Canada – the latter is now settled for a 2026 launch under Gopal Venkata, a technology and education professional, who has been appointed as CEO of Success Tutoring Canada.
The Canadian rollout is the next step in Success Tutoring’s global expansion strategy which now includes India.
Success Tutoring Canada will be headquartered in Vancouver.
Gopal Venkata brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across education, technology and operations. He has collaborated with educational institutions, including the US Department of Education, to design high school calculus programs and improve student engagement. He also has experience in cloud infrastructure, data systems and scalable franchise operations.
“Gopal is the perfect person to lead our Canadian expansion,” Black said. “He’s got the brain of a technologist, the heart of an educator and the vision of a true franchise builder.”
Canadian franchise territories are now available across major Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal.
