Ben Cumming has been appointed general manager of franchise operations for The Coffee Club network.
A former Hell’s Pizza CEO, Cumming joins the Minor DKL business after nine months as general manager at Brooki Bakehouse; prior to this he was CEO at a childcare chain.
Cumming spent seven years as GM at Hell Pizza before taking on the CEO role, which he held for four years.
He will lead franchise operations and culture for The Coffee Club’s network of over 200 cafes nationwide, ensuring franchise partners are supported and aligned to drive long-term success.
The Coffee Club’s CEO Richard Hinson told Franchise Executives “Ben brings extensive experience leading franchised and multi-site businesses across QSR and retail. He joins us at an exciting time for the business and will initially focus on connecting with our in-store teams and franchise partners while building a strong understanding of our operations.
“Ben’s experience will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, store performance, and improved franchise profitability. We look forward to the impact of his experience across operations, partner relationships, compliance, leadership and commercial outcomes,” Hinson said.
When Hinson took on the CEO role a year ago, he highlighted the importance of strengthening franchise partnerships alongside improving operational efficiency and boosting customer experience.
