The Sporting Globe Bar & Grill has opened its 20th venue, a location in the Northland Shopping Centre in Preston. This venue is also the 50th establishment for the Signature Hospitality Group, which includes TGI Fridays in its portfolio.
Collingwood Magpies superstar Steele Sidebottom attended the VIP opening night.
James Sinclair, CEO of Signature Hospitality Group, said “From the moment we opened our first venue in Geelong, we couldn’t have imagined the incredible journey that would lead us to this momentous occasion. It is a testament to our team of key players, including franchise partners, support staff and supply and the unwavering support of our loyal customers.
“Our vision has always been to create vibrant spaces where people can come together and celebrate mateship, indulge in great food, cheer for their favourite teams, and forge lasting memories.”
Sporting Globe’s milestone outlet a second venue for franchisee
This venue is the second site for franchisee Steve Edwards.
“I’ve lived in the local area for a decade and know the Northland Shopping Centre well,” Edwards said. “There’s a clear demand for a Sporting Globe here, as it offers a unique experience that can’t be found elsewhere. With the community’s strong involvement in local grassroots sports, I’m confident that our Sporting Globe venue will become the go-to spot for families and sports enthusiasts.
“I’m excited to connect with the community, providing a place for people to come together, enjoy fantastic food and drinks, and watch sports.”
The new venue will create more than 50 jobs and support local sporting clubs. It has partnerships with Hellfish Ice Hockey Club, Macleod Football Club & Montmorency Football & Netball Club.
