The Yiros Shop has signed its first franchise with a store opening date set for December 2020. 

Inaugural franchisee Atul Sakhiya will open his outlet at Jindaleesouth-west of the Brisbane CBD and neighouring The University  of Queensland, Pinjarra Hills Campus.

Sakhiya said he is excited to be part of the Yiros Shop network and is looking forward to growing his business.

“It’s been a while since we started discussions so I am looking forward to getting the new location up and running and providing the best Greek takeaway and casual dining food to the people of Jindalee and surrounding suburbs such as; Mount Ommaney, Middle Park and Westlake.”

The Greek street-food chain already has seven company-owned outlets across Brisbane with the imminent launch of  a store opening in Burleigh Heads, and the recent announcement of the upcoming drive-thru set for a February 2021 unveil.

When the  Gold Coast site opens its doors at the beginning of November it will also unveil a broader menu, with Greek-style breakfast choices, coffee and local beers on tap throughout the lunch and dinner trade.

We’ve been working with their awesome team for a while and they’ve proven that their business model is resilient and that they are able to adapt and innovate during the most trying times.”

Founder Nick Mitrossilis launched the business in 2015, and has maintained a tight focus on expanding in the Brisbane and east coast region before setting out on a broader expansion plan.
