Town & Country Pizza & Pasta is rolling out its Taking Care of People initiative, which successfully piloted last year.

Managing director Joe Rossi told Franchise Executives “Franchising is evolving, and today’s franchise buyers and customers want to align with purpose-driven brands.

“The Taking Care of People message reflects our commitment to prioritising support and wellbeing through staff development and recognition,” he said.

Town & Country’s systems focus on human experience not just efficiency. Rossi said this means ensuring franchisees have better insights, smarter tools, and robust support for sustainable growth.

Giving back to community through local connections is fundamental to the initiative. Town & Country is tackling the cost-of-living crisis, partnering with Give Where You Live to match the value of meal vouchers the charity provides for families.

The casual dining chain has also partnered with Geelong Football Club in a pizza-making showdown between two Geelong Cats players. Customers will vote for their favourite pizza and Town & Country will donate $10,000 to a charity of the winning player’s choice.

The franchisor is driving the initiative and encouraging franchisees to opt in when they can.

“We facilitate it for them, show them we can take it on, and show incoming franchisees we’re not just about increasing store count. We want to grow properly and these are our core values,” Rossi said.
