Xpresso Mobile Cafe has become the first mobile coffee franchise system to score as a high performing brand through the Australian Franchise Rating Scale.

The coffee business has been rated four star after demonstrating high levels of transparency and franchise performance.

Ratings are allocated after an independent and fact-based assessment reviews a business across seven key categories.

Jonathan Payne, Xpresso Mobile Cafe’s MD, said “We’re delighted as a group to receive this recognition, particularly during this challenging COVID-19 season. Rather than our business hibernating, our mobile cafes were able to quickly pivot and mobilise to meet the expectations of our customers. Our focus is happy franchisees and our FRANdata rating shows we are on the right path but there is always more work to do.

FRANdata’s Australian CEO Darryn McAuliffe said “The review team was particularly impressed with how well their training program positioned franchisees for success. Xpresso Mobile Café also evidenced a strong commitment to the measurement and ongoing monitoring of franchisee satisfaction.

“These factors coupled with a disciplined recruitment program have contributed strongly to a very low churn rate across the network.”

Xpresso Mobile Cafe joins this year’s only other recipient so far of a high performing rating, the 2019 Established Franchisor of the Year, San Churro.

The hospitality brands join an elite and mixed group of  top franchises including the very first to be recognised in Australia, less than a year ago, Quest Apartment Hotels.

Fellow starred-franchises include lottery brands, service based brands such as First Class Accounts, Poolwerx, Gutter-Vac, and FCF Fire & Electrical, as well as Ferguson Plarre and Pack & Send.

Foodco’s Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue are also highly rated.

FRANdata Australia is Australia’s leading franchise business intelligence and information advisory business. Franchise systems can make use of its Australian Franchise Rating Scale assessments, with results recorded with The Australian Franchise Registry.
