Body Fit Training (BFT) is set to expand across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region after signing a master franchise agreement. The deal will see the BFT brand launch more than 50 studios across the region in the next 10 years.
The agreement is headed up by Dr. Mohamed Abdou and the Edar Group. Dr. Mohamed first experienced the brand in the UK at BFT Leicester.
“BFT offers an unmatched fitness experience, blending scientifically-backed training with cutting-edge technology and a community-driven atmosphere,” Dr. Mohamed said.
A 1000sqm flagship studio opened in February 2025 in Doha, Qatar.
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates are key expansion targets; the regional headquarters for BFT MENA will be in Qatar.
Richard Burnet, director and global CEO of BFT International, said “With Dr. Mohamed Abdou’s leadership and a shared vision for delivering exceptional fitness experiences, we are confident that the BFT brand will thrive in this vibrant region.”
Following the success of the first BFT studio in West Walk in Doha, the rollout will continue through the region with the opening of flagship studios in Riyadh, Dubai, and Kuwait City over the next 12 months.
BFT was recently awarded the Australian International Franchisor of the Year award at the inaugural Franchise Industry Awards.
