SpeedFit appoints a general manager of operations to drive east coast expansion for the Perth-based personal training brand.
A former Jim’s Group franchise operations manager, Craig Pritchard, takes up the newly-created role and will oversee the operations for the SpeedFit brand nationally with a large focus on the eastern seaboard.
Pritchard has spent a decade in both the fitness and franchising industries and brings strong operational and multi-site experience through Jim’s Group and most recently Bupa, where he was regional business performance manager.
Matej Varhalik, co-founder and CEO of SpeedFit, said “Craig has demonstrated some great results in leadership, onboarding and development of new franchisors and business growth and we are very excited to have him join the SpeedFit team. Craig is a value based leader focused on meaningful business outcomes, and I am delighted to welcome him to our expanding SpeedFit head office team.”
The role was created after the company saw significant growth in the last year with growth of 127 per cent year on year – 10 new studios were opened across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and the New South Wales Central Coast. This month SpeedFit will expand into South Australia for the first time, with a brand new studio starting in North Adelaide.
Initially Pritchard will grow and support the Victorian network, ensure policies and procedures are compliant and operating in all SpeedFit studios. He will also work with the team to set up SpeedFit as an NDIS provider.
Pritchard said “My initial focus with any team, whether it be franchisor or small business teams is ensuring that the right people are in the right position and the team are working cohesively towards a set of clear goals.
