The Mpower Franchising Group has sold its automotive detailing services franchise Car Care Australia to Westshare, the Western Australia master franchisee.

Mike Stringer, director of Mpower, said “Car Care Australia Pty Ltd has developed a strong reputation for quality and customer satisfaction throughout it’s nearly 40 years trading. We believe that Westshare will further enhance the brand through its technical approach to the delivery of car care services.”

Car Care master franchisee

Westshare director Mark Lyons started as a greenfield franchisee in 2002. In 2005 Lyons scooped the Franchise Council of Australia’s Best of the Best WA Franchisee of the Year award. In 2007 Lyons took on the master agreement for WA.

Car Care operates through master franchisees in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Lyons said “The purchase of Car Care Australia Pty Ltd will enhance our presence in the automotive sector, providing us with national coverage. We look forward to working closely with the dedicated team of Car Care franchisees and master franchisees throughout Australia and building on their success.”

Car Care was established in Perth in 1987 and began franchising in 1990. Since then the business has expanded to a national footprint, in Australia and New Zealand.

Mpower focus

The Mpower Franchising Group also owns the Housework Heroes and United Home Services brands.

Stringer told Franchise Executives, “As far as Mpower is concerned the main goal is to establish these two brands across all states over the next couple of years and grow numbers.”
