Anytime Fitness co-founder and Fitness Industry Roll of Honour inductee Jacinta McDonell joins Bump Health and Fitness as an investor and advisory board member.

It specialises in programs for pre and post-natal fitness, offering both classes and personal training. Venues include a creche and plenty of social spaces for clients to relax with their babies.
100 locations planned within five years
Calum Wilson and Ross Lucas founded Bump Health and Fitness. The pair is forecasting 100 locations within five years.
McDonell will advise on the growth of the business into a national franchise.
“I believe in people first. When I met Ross and Calum, I immediately knew that our values aligned, and they had a true desire to learn and grow,” she said.
Jacinta McDonell joins Bump Health & Fitness to help scale the business
“As I worked with them, I saw the community of members that Ross and Calum had built in their clubs and knew that they had created something very special that needed to be shared with more women. I have worked with them since and am excited to continue to work with them and the incredible team we have assembled at Bump”, said McDonell.
The newbie franchise – it launched its franchise model mid-2022 – started out in Sydney’s Northern Beaches in 2018.
Since then it has opened a second site, in Erina on the Central Coast, and signed up four franchisees.
The founders designed the model to work for owner-operators or investors.
McDonell and her brother Justin brought Anytime’s 24/7 fitness model to Australia in 2008. Anytime Fitness now has more than 500 clubs across the country.
McDonell consults to a small number of founders and clients on leadership and scaling a business. She is also on the National Board of The Hunger Project. This organisation funds life changing projects in Africa, India and Bangladesh.
