There’s a brand new fitness studio heading our way and Collective Wellness Group, the Australian master franchisee of Anytime Fitness, could open the first Sumhiit Fitness studio later this year. A Crows Nest, Sydney, site has already been secured, according to the brand’s website.

Self Esteem Brands (SEB), the parent company of a global portfolio of fitness, health and wellness franchise brands, has officially launched the Sumhiit Fitness studio concept as a franchise.

It was unveiled at the recent FIT Summit in Singapore.

According to SEB, Sumhiit Fitness is a condensed, 35-minute workout which delivers the equivalent of a 50-minute calorie burn.  The coach-led format switches between cardio on an air bike and strength training exercises in high-intensity 60-second bursts. An optional 10 minutes following each workout features a wide array of core exercises.

A proprietary app helps club members monitor their workout, results and health data, schedule classes, and connect with the studio community.

For Anytime Fitness parent, Sumhiit is the first studio franchise

Sumhiit Fitness is the twin brand to Basecamp Fitness in the US and the first studio concept SEB has franchised globally.

Sander van den Born, executive vice president, international, Self Esteem Brands, said “Our existing size and scale across seven continents, thanks to the Anytime Fitness footprint, creates a fantastic foundation for launching the Sumhiit Fitness brand and concept.

“Our franchising services platform and the proven concept in the US means that we can move quickly to help new and existing master franchise owners bring this concept to their countries and communities.”

The Sumhiit brand launch is part of SEB’s aggressive global growth strategy: the company aims to have 10,000 fitness, health and wellness clubs and studios open worldwide by 2030.

David Mortensen, co-founder of Anytime Fitness and president, Self Esteem Brands, said the launch “signals our move to extend our wider health and wellness brands and meet the growing demand to help more people achieve their holistic fitness, health and wellness goals.”

Self Esteem Brands is the parent company to Anytime Fitness, Basecamp Fitness, The Bar Method, and Waxing the City.
