Multi-brand food franchisor Concept Eight has appointed former Salsas Fresh Mex GM Tony Rabba as general manager of its burger division.

Concept Eight’s previous general manager, Michael McNamara, will move back to network development to strengthen this division. The group aims to add a further 25 sites in 2026, bringing total growth to 57 sites in two years.

Rabba will head up the network of 35 Huxtaburger and Pattysmiths restaurants in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia.

Concept Eight CEO Grant Lee told Franchise Executives, “Tony’s immediate responsibility will be to oversee the brand refresh of Huxtaburger just completed by Weekdays Design and the launch of a new virtual brand called Bama Chicken. We are thrilled to have someone of Tony’s deep operational experience join Concept Eight.”

Rabba spent almost eight years with Salsa’s franchisor, Retail Zoo. He started as a franchise and business corporate consultant, was national operations manager for two years, and most recently was GM for nearly five years.

In his 20-year hospitality career Rabba also had two stints as general manager at Wagamama and was for two years a cafe owner.
