Craveable Brands appoints new Oporto marketing boss

Craveable Brands has appointed a new head of marketing for Oporto, Ben Simmons.

Simmons was former general manager marketing and operations at Taco Bell and senior marketing manager at KFC.

He brings 20 years of experience in the marketing and fast food industry in Australia and the UK. His experience includes Kit Kat, Uncle Toby’s, and Diet Coke.

Simmons officially started in the role at the beginning of October.

Oporto CEO Samantha Bragg​​​​ said the appointment comes at an exciting time of growth and opportunity for the business.

“Oporto is in a period of rapid growth as we expand our market presence through an accelerated new store opening strategy while continuing to transform our CX and broaden our market appeal to deliver continued same-store growth.”

Oporto opened 11 new stores in the last six months, and expanded into regional Queensland in Bundaberg, Rockhampton, and Townsville.

It plans to add another 25 new store openings this financial year.
