CycleBar, the premium indoor cycling brand, will debut its first New South Wales studio in early 2021 with the signing of three licenses to a Sydney entrepreneur.
Former Microsoft marketing executive Shannon Keogh is set to roll out three studios in three years.
The community-minded Keogh made the decision to travel less and spend more time with her family and signed up to a CycleBar license.
“A primary motivator for me is to provide Sydney with a high energy, positive community space. We all know that movement and exercise is good for our general health, but 2020 has taught us all how fundamental community connections are to our mental well-being,” she said.
Pending NSW Government guidelines in response to the coronavirus, each studio will house up to 50 bikes and offer at least 30 low-impact, high-intensity 45-minute classes a week.
A US fitness sensation founded in 2004, CycleBar has developed a global footprint and opened its first Aussie outlet in Currambine, Western Australia in September.
Spin X Operations owns the Australian licence for CycleBar, headed up by Matt Gordin, the previous CEO of BikeExchange US and former GM of nationwide cycle store chain Bike Force.
Gordin told Inside Franchise Business Executive plans are well underway to continue Australian expansion throughout 2021.
Spin X signed a 45 outlet franchise deal earlier this year.
