The Franchise Council of Australia has awarded John Brown for his work in the franchising sector over 40 years.
John Brown has been involved in franchising for more than 40 years, as a franchisee, franchisor, consultant, and influential FCA member and a Board member.
In recognition of this, FCA CEO Matthew Monaghan presented him with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the WA State Chapter Christmas and End of Year Soiree.
Monaghan said “As we move into 2024, the FCA is excited to continue its advocacy and support for the franchising community, building upon the foundations laid by leaders like John Brown.
“John Brown exemplifies the essence of our industry, embodying the spirit of community and collaboration.”
Clayton Treloar, WA FCA State President, echoed Monagahan’s comment.
“John Brown’s contributions to franchising and the FCA are legendary. His dedication and enthusiasm have significantly shaped our industry. We deeply appreciate his pioneering efforts and commitment to excellence,” said Treloar.
Brown was inducted into the Australian Franchise Hall of Fame in 2010.
FCA key to franchise development
He said “Franchising’s strength lies in its community and the shared willingness to exchange knowledge for the betterment of the industry. The Franchising Code of Conduct has been a pivotal change, ensuring integrity within our sector,” he said.
Brown took the opportunity at the FCA Western Australia Christmas function to encourage franchisors’ active participation with the Council.
“The Franchising Code of Conduct has been a pivotal change, ensuring integrity within our sector,” he said. “By contributing even a fraction of our time each week to our collective goals, we can all thrive. Franchising enables ordinary individuals to achieve extraordinary success through a robust business system, and the FCA is an invaluable resource in this journey.”
