Harry Rumpler (pictured), former Chief Operating Officer at Australian poultry franchisor Lenard’s, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Lenard’s Founder and Director, Lenard Poulter, who will continue to work on identifying and assessing opportunities for growth.
“This is certainly the next step for Lenard’s and we are extremely excited about Harry’s appointment and commitment to his new role,” Poulter said. “Harry has demonstrated exceptional leadership and delivered strong results in the short time he has been on board that have had an immediate, positive impact on the business. We could not be more excited to have Harry on board in his new role.”
During his months as COO, Rumpler worked within the business to gain an understanding of the different areas and implement new strategies.
“I am excited about the opportunities ahead of us here at Lenard’s and working with the team,” he said. “We are all looking very positively both within retail and franchise networks moving forward.
“We have a great mix of experienced and new team members here and, with this, new ideas and prospect are being worked on”.
Rumpler joined the Lenard’s team in January 2022. Before that, his roles included CEO of IGA Fresh (Metcash), Business Advisor to CSIRO and advisory board appointments.
More than 30 years in business
Poulter founded Lenard’s in 1987 in Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane. Lenard’s handmade chicken products are made with Australian barn-raised chickens, with no added hormones or steroids. There are 25 locally-owned stores and Lenard’s can also be found in 2,000 independent supermarkets around Australia.
