Home services franchise My Home Watch is expanding its reach to South Africa in the first step to develop a global market.

The franchise, part of My Home Services Group, will be available across southern Africa including Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, and Mozambique

My Home Watch founder Natasha Morgan told Inside Franchise Business safety and security conscious residents will be prime customers.

“Despite all the current economic challenges, franchising continues to be successful in South Africa, and there’s certainly room for our services and My Home Watch brand.

“The sector is, in fact, a vital part of the backbone of the country’s economy like most countries. South Africa has more than 680 franchised systems, more than 30 000 franchise outlets and  17 franchise business sectors.”

Franchising in South Africa

Morgan said the franchise sector employs more than 300 000 people and there are high expectations for the South African business.

“We have been testing the market for close to a year with a range of marketing including tv commercials with franchise registrations being in the hundreds,” she said.

To get the brand off the ground the master franchisor in South Africa is promoting the business with a discount offer for the first 10 franchisees.

“Considering the climate it’s amazing news and we are truly happy about the relationship we have been building with our South African partner,” said Morgan.

My Home Watch was the first service launched by Morgan in 2017 and this will be the foundation for further development in South Africa.

Recently Morgan combined all the services developed over the past two years into one franchise offer. She has also extended the brand’s presence through cross-selling opportunities, partnering with complementary businesses like Poolwerx.
