Quest has scooped up hotel industry awards, including a marketing campaign award and an individual accolade.

David Mansfield, Quest and Ascott Australia managing director, won the Australasian Hotelier of the year award. CEOs, vice presidents of operations and executives vote for this award.

Mansfield dedicated his award to the entire Quest network. He said “I’m incredibly proud of the resilience the Quest network has demonstrated over the past year, and the recognition we continue to receive for our efforts.”

“It’s my privilege to lead such a talented team at Quest, and I continue to be inspired everyday by the hundreds of uplifting community projects local business owners carry out across the country.”

HM Awards founder and chief judge, James Wilkinson, said Mansfield deserved the personal recognition. “He is liked and respected by his peers for his hard work and dedication to the industry at The Ascott Limited, the Accommodation Association and through his community initiatives.”

Quest wins for marketing campaign

Quest also won the Marketing Campaign category for the ‘As Local As You Like It’ national campaign. This focused on local business owners sharing their favourite local experiences. Franchisees could match tailored campaign imagery to their own local area marketing needs.

GM sales and marketing at Quest, Anthea Dimitrakopoulos said she was proud of the marketing team.

“Our small team worked so hard for our business owners to ensure the “As Local As You Like It” campaign successfully captured the significant domestic travel demand post-Covid, and maximised the value for our brand by strategically evolving the campaign based on our ongoing consumer research.”

Quest hotels at Cronulla Beach, North Sydney, Orange, Preston, Shepparton, South Perth Foreshore and Melbourne Airport were also finalists.
