World Gym is to launch in Thailand, opening its first club at Imperial World Samrong.
John Caraccio, chair and president of World Gym Corporation, said Thailand is a strategic step for the fitness chain.
“This market has the energy, ambition and rising fitness culture our brand was built on. Our promise here is simple: we’re not just opening a gym, we’re making world-class fitness part of everyday life. And we’re bringing our 50 years of legacy and the technology that defines the next generation of fitness here to achieve this”, Caraccio said.
Taiwan-based World Gym Corporation bought the World Gym brand and global operating rights in 2024. It operates more than 141 locations in Taiwan, making it both the country’s largest fitness chain and the brand’s major market.
In Australia it operates as a master franchise, with Viva Leisure holding a 25 per cent equity stake.
World Gym is the largest Hyrox partner in the Asia-Pacific and it will extend the partnership to Thailand later this year.
