Anytime Fitness is extending its footprint with the launch of its small club format. The small clubs range from 240 m2 to 321 m2 , with a flexible design to optimise the floorspace.

The gym chain is now almost at capacity with more than 550 full size gyms across Australia. This additional format creates new opportunities for investors or owner operators wanting to buy into the brand.

The new clubs are in regional areas such as Merimbula in New South Wales, Airlie Beach in Queensland, Bairnsdale in Victoria, Esperance in Western Australia and Ulverstone in Tasmania.

Anytime Fitness small clubs format delivers new opportunities

Nicole Noye is CEO of Collective Wellness Group, the parent company of Anytime Fitness Australia.

“We’ve listened to what our members and our franchise owners want in their clubs, and that’s convenience, more free weights, and more functional spaces. The small club format delivers this and more,” she said.

”For new investors, this opens up new territories in regional centres that don’t align with the larger gym format – with lower investment costs, increased member capacity and an enhanced member experience.”

Noye said the new small club format provides the opportunity for existing franchisees to manage membership overflow.

It will cost about $350,000 to invest in a new format Anytime Fitness club.
