Australian Skin Clinics’ chief operating officer Rob Garsden has passed away aged 39. The news of his sudden death was shared on LinkedIn by Australian Skin Clinics (ASC).

“Our thoughts go to Rob’s family, loved ones, friends and colleagues at this difficult and devastating time.
Rob has touched so many people through his three years at SILK and most recently his six months with us here at ASC/TCC,” the post read.

“We remember Rob for his problem-solving skills, dedication and passion, but more importantly his infectious laugh, warm heart and his want to enjoy life that bought smiles and memories to so many.

“He has always been the first person to put forward a brave idea, push us forward and support all of our colleagues when it’s been needed most.”

Rob Garsden described himself on LinkedIn as a passionate problem solver and people developer; the ASC post said his legacy would continue in the clinics.

Garsden had headed up operations at Silk Laser Clinics for nearly four years before the chain bought Beauty Services Holdings, the parent company of ASC, in September 2021 and Garsden was appointed to the COO role at ASC.

Silk Laser Clinics founder and CEO Martin Perelman told Inside Franchise Business Executive “Rob has been an incredible support, business partner and friend at Silk Laser Clinics, from when we had just 12 clinics, to 120 clinics. His incredible leadership and problem solving skills have been instrumental in achieving huge milestones for the business, including an IPO and two acquisitions, Australian Skin Clinics and The Laser Lounge.”

Perelman said Garsden had helped mould the company and played a large role in building company culture.

“His ability to build long lasting relationships with our colleagues and franchise partners will be forever cherished. I am so very grateful of the friendship I had with Rob, he had truly been a bright spark. His golden heart, cheeky laugh and overall energy will be dearly missed.”
