Bakers Delight has appointed Beth Pocklington as head of franchise development.

Elise Gillespie, joint CEO at Bakers Delight, told Franchise Executives, “Beth is a very experienced franchise industry professional and we are delighted to have her heading up our franchise development team.

“Her knowledge drive and passion for the franchising sector will be a critical part of our ambition to grow our Australian network to 650 bakeries by 2030 and become the most loved bakery in every community.”

Pocklington comes to the family-owned bakery chain from Quest Apartment Hotels where she was the franchise recruitment manager.

Prior to Quest, she had led retail operations at Forty Winks, and was the CEO of Gymbaroo for two and a half years. Pocklington spent more than seven years at Back in Motion, and also had experience with San Churro and Fernwood Fitness.

She said “I am thrilled to have joined Bakers Delight. The brand is an Australian icon that I, like many franchising professionals,  have immense respect for. We have set ourselves some ambitious innovation and growth targets for the years ahead and I can’t wait to make my franchising industry experience part of that journey.”
